Broadcast flakes into a wet, compatible colored epoxy base coat, then seal the system with a compatible clear finish such as PP-80 Clear Polyaspartic. Flakes add decorative color and texture; they are not a coating, primer or standalone protective surface.

How Many Pounds of Flakes Do I Need?

Divide your floor area by the selected rate and round up. For 500 sq ft at full broadcast, plan approximately 42 lb before additional waste allowance. Available 20 lb and 40 lb packaging means ordering at least 60 lb. Actual use varies with technique and project conditions.

Installation and Clear Topcoat

1. Prepare the substrate and apply a compatible epoxy base coating according to its TDS and application instructions.
2. Broadcast flakes into the wet base coat to the chosen density.
3. Allow the base coat to cure as directed, then remove loose or upright flakes according to the system instructions.
4. Apply a compatible clear protective topcoat. Follow its recoat window, coverage and cure schedule before returning the floor to use.

Use appropriate installation tools and consult our application guides. Decorative flakes do not cure by themselves and do not guarantee slip resistance.

Shipping and Returns

These box blends are stocked for same-business-day shipment when ordered by 5:00 PM Central, subject to the selected variant's availability. Special-order colors outside this stocked range normally take 7–9 business days to process before shipment; some custom orders may take up to three weeks. Overnight and Express change carrier transit time after shipment, not processing. Review the shipping and return policy before ordering.

Can I buy just the flakes?

Yes. Order boxes for an existing compatible flooring project, or purchase coatings and flakes together through our Square Foot Calculator.

Are all 20 lb boxes priced the same?

No. Stone Series blends are priced differently from standard blends. Always check the selected variant and cart.

Do the flakes need a topcoat?

Use a compatible clear topcoat to complete and protect the decorative flooring system. Follow the full system's instructions.

How should I store unused flakes?

Keep them dry, clean and protected from contamination in a closed container. Follow the product's storage information.
